Effective date: February 22, 2026
Silent Toggle ("the App") is a sound-mode switching utility for Android. This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles information in relation to your use of it. We are committed to full transparency: the App has been deliberately designed to operate entirely on-device.
We collect no personal information. The App does not:
The App requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY |
Required by Android to switch the ringer to Silent mode on devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and later. The App only reads and sets the system ringer mode; no notification content is ever accessed. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |
Allows the App to restart its background listener after the device is rebooted, so the home-screen widget stays in sync with the current ringer mode without requiring you to open the App first. |
No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above. Granting Do Not Disturb access is optional; Ring and Vibrate modes work without it.
The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, analytics services, or crash-reporting frameworks. No data is shared with third parties.
The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.
Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no data at risk. The App operates entirely locally on your device.
If the App's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the new effective date will be reflected at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
